Updated museum calendar grid and layout
Enhanced the online collection by cleaning up the grid and removing a clunky lazy load
Added more visual hierarchy, organization, imagery, wayfinding, and stronger global elements
Implemented a live twitter feed in footer
Maintain regular content update schedule
Added more Image heavy blocks with max width heroes and larger image carousels
Problems/Goals
Improve the design, usability, and user interface of the website.
What I did
Conducted UX surveys with various stakeholders - internal and external
Designed new homepage blocks for more visually engaging featured content
Redesigned global elements such as header and footer
Updated IA throughout the entire website
Removed extraneous elements and cleaned up confusing grid systems, such as the load more button and unused fourth column
Designed resource and screening pages.
Redesigned and built out exhibition and event pages.
Outcomes & Results
Over the past two years our traffic has increased by more than 30% to over 55,000 users a month. Users are locating our featured content more easily, and engaging (downloading and browsing) with our content more.
